CosmicPE Factions is a multiplayer game mode which revolves around creating and managing groups called factions, which are player-run organizations that claim land, form alliances, wage wars, and strive for dominance on the server.
Factions introduces a strategic element to Minecraft by encouraging teamwork, base-building, and raiding. The core goal is to grow your faction, amass resources, and either cooperate with or conquer other factions.
In order to play on CosmicPE, users must first join the CosmicPE Discord and follow the steps in the #verification channel.
Faction Top
/f top is operates using a points-based system.
Positions #1, #2, and #3 are eligible for weekly rewards, as well as a larger reward at the end of the map. Rewards can be seen in the CosmicPE Discord.
Point Based

Points based /f top measures the amount of faction points (/f points) that factions have accumulated through various activities, spawners, and custom blocks.
All faction points are either earned or purchased. Faction points are protected by a core chunk, and cannot be obtained without one.
Obtainability
There are multiple ways to obtain faction points. The easiest is by using /factionpoints buy, to purchase a set amount every 24 hours. The purchasable amount of scales with map age.
Individual monster spawners and custom blocks generate faction points every 24 hours. The amount of faction points given scales with the age of the placed block, maxing out at 14 days.
Various miscellaneous activities also grant faction points. The amount of /f points obtained these activities scales with map age. Each activity source has a different scaling function (linear, logarithmic) and a different scaling algorithm. For instance, KOTH's scaling function is defined as while for strongholds, it is . To prevent unintended meta-grinding, the scaling formulas are otherwise kept proprietary and subjected to change.

| KOTH | 2000 | 10400 |
| Stronghold - Loot | 600 | 5400 |
| Vanilla Outpost | 5 per hour | 8 per hour |
Raiding
Faction Points can be 'stolen' by enemy factions via Raiding. 'Breaching' another faction's core chunk refers to firing TNT from a raid claim into another faction's core chunk. The amount of points acquired from breaching another faction's core chunk increases the higher the Y level of the breach to a maximum of 25%. TNT must be lobbed at a minimum Y > 20 to breach a faction's core.
- Y <= 100: 10% points
- Y <= 150: 15% points
- Y <= 250: 20% points
- Y <= 255: 25% points
The breached faction will be placed on a 8 HOUR "Raid Cooldown", where any attempts to core chunk breach again will be nullified.
It is encouraged to attempt to steal spawners and custom blocks when raiding in order to hinder the defending faction's /f point progression.
Faction Power
Power is inherently a member attribute, meaning every player has their own separate power (run /f power to check your current power). Power of a faction is the cumulative sum of powers of all members. Conversely, a faction can increase their power capacity by having more members. The only other way to increase power capacity is the "Faction Power Boost" /f upgrade, which gives a base power value of up to +100 to a faction.
The maximum power a player can have is 150. Power replenishes by +1 every minute, and happens even when offline. A player will lose 10 power upon death in any wilderness territories. Power will never drop below -20, meaning a player with -20 power will not lose any power upon death.
Power determines the amount of chunks a faction can claim (run /f info to view power of your faction). It is however possible for a faction to be in a state where they have more land than power. This is because power can be lost by dying in the wilderness or from a member leaving the faction. In this state, the faction remains vulnerable to overclaiming—a scenario where any outsider can seize land from the faction.
