The Brood Mother is a big spider boss that attacks and inflicts enemies with poison effect. It naturally spawns at the LMS but may be spawned manually using boss eggs. The Brood Mother is immune to fire damage including damage from lava.

Attacks

Melee damage is the main attack strategy of the Brood Mother.

Brood Mother Attack Strategies

Strategy	Description
Melee	16HP × 8 HP melee damage inflicted when enemies approach within the attack range.
Minions	Up to 4 alive minions may exist at any given time. Each minion spawns with 20HP × 10 HP, moves 50% faster, and is 1/3rd the size of the Brood Mother. Minions also inflict a higher 20HP × 10 HP melee damage. When melee damage is dealt, there is a 33% chance for each of the following status effects to apply independently—Poison I (5 seconds), Nausea I (5 seconds), and Blindness I (3 seconds).
Poison Effect	33% chance to inflict Area of Effect Poison II (5 seconds) to all players in 3.5x radius every 2.5 seconds.
Cobweb Trap	33% chance to spawn 3x3 cobweb at the feet of every player in a 3.5x radius every 10 seconds. Cobwebs slow down player's movement and despawn after 5 seconds.

Dialogs

The Brood Mother occasionally sends messages in chat and during specific events. These messages can be distinguished by the boss's name—all messages are prefixed with "Brood Mother >>".

Fight Strategy

Brood Mother is the easiest boss to fight on CosmicPE. Melee damage is the fastest way to win the fight. Poison effect will be the biggest challenge when fighting the boss. Boots with Ender Walker give you the best defense strategy against the boss's lingering effects. Equip enough ender pearls and healing splash potions as the melee damage is rather high.
