It naturally spawns at the LMS but may be spawned manually using boss eggs.

Attacks

Melee jump-damage is the main attack strategy of the King Slime. Unlike vanilla, the King Slime attacks both—by and while jumping at the target. The King Slime has a 50% chance every 10 seconds to shape-shift between its slime mode and (a buffed) magma mode where it turns into a magma cube. When the King Slime shape-shifts, his minions will too. In magma mode, the King Slime is fireproof and immune to projectile damage.

King Slime Attack Strategies

Strategy	Description
Melee	22HP × 11 HP melee damage inflicted from jump-attacks when enemies approach within the attack range.
Minions	Up to 8 (or 4 when in Magma mode) alive minions may exist at any given time. Each minion spawns with 20HP × 10 HP and is half the size of the King Slime. Minions do not inflict any melee damage. In Slime mode, minions heal the King Slime by 5HP every 2 seconds. In Magma mode, minions explode when an enemy approaches within its 4-block vicinity and deals anywhere between 2.4HP × 1.2 HP to 16HP × 8 HP damage relative to distance of enemy from the explosion.
Suffocation Chamber	Depending on the mode, the King Slime may trap enemies in a water (slime mode) or a lava (magma mode) glass chamber. The glass despawns after 5 seconds and usually cannot be broken as the King Slime cannot be spawned outside protected territory. In a water trap, the enemy's air supply and breathing are nulled, effectively beginning to drown them instantly.

Dialogs

The King Slime occasionally sends messages in chat and during specific events. These messages can be distinguished by the boss's name—all messages are prefixed with "King Slime >>".

Fight Strategy

Despite having a higher attack damage, the King Slime can be defeated quicker than the Brood Mother as it has no armor protection. Use a Rage enchanted weapon and wear an Obsidianshield chestpiece so its lava trap has no effect.
