It naturally spawns at the LMS but may be spawned manually using boss eggs.

Attacks

The Plague Bloater largely relies on its plague 'carriers' to deal damage. Melee damage and damage by its carriers are equally the main source of attacks. The Plague Bloater is immune to projectile damage.

Plague Bloater Attack Strategies
Strategy	Description
Melee	25HP × 12.5 HP damage inflicted onto enemies using hand.
Minions	Summons a group of 6 minions—each spawning with 20HP × 10 HP, 20 ( × 10) armor points, and 150% its speed. Attacks deal 12HP × 6 HP damage to enemies.
Bomb	Spawns 6 TNTs nearby that deal an 8x8x8 area-of-effect radiation damage to enemies. Radiation deals 1HP HP damage every 0.5 seconds (bypassing armor protection).
Ghast Carrier	Summons a ghast that shoots bombs.
Infection	50% chance every 3 seconds to infect nearby enemies with Poison IV (2.5 seconds). Each enemy has a 33% chance to be infected by Blindness I (2.5 seconds) in addition.

Dialogs

The Plague Bloater occasionally sends messages in chat and during specific events. These messages can be distinguished by the boss's name—all messages are prefixed with "Plague Bloater >>".
