Chat & Player Conduct

The rules have been established for the community to abide by at all times. This will aim to ensure that everyone is safe and has an enjoyable experience.

Players are responsible for reading the rules upon joining. Disobeying the rules will result in the punishments stated below.

This list does not constitute the full extent of the rules but highlights basic principles which player will have to interpret to determine whether the act/content is permitted or not. If you are unsure, ask a staff member.

Excessive offences will be at the discretion of the upper staff and punishment will be at the discretion of the Admins / Owners.

Chat & Player Conduct

Spamming	Spamming is the act of sending irrelevant or unsolicited messages over the Internet. This is strictly forbidden in the Global Chat and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This can include but is not limited to: Repeated use of the same word/phrase 3 or more times to attract attention or to annoy others Repeated use of random characters/patterns Flooding the Global Chat Punishments 1st Offence: Warning 2nd Offence: 8h Mute 3rd Offence: 24h Mute 4th Offence: 3d Ban 5th+ Offence: 7d Ban Warnings issued for spamming will expire after 24 hours.
Excessive Toxicity	Toxicity is the act of displaying bad attitude and behaviour by being very unpleasant towards others. CosmicPE is an ALL inclusive server and this will not be tolerated in the Global Chat. Keep everything family friendly. You are expected to respect each other as civilised humans regardless of your backgrounds and beliefs. Staff are volunteers that are here to ensure the server runs smoothly. They do not have the option of ignoring rule breakers. If you choose to disrespect or disregard them, you risk punishment. They are not here to abuse, they are here to keep the server running for everyone. Factions is a war based strategic game, we completely recognize that players will get upset, will flame each other, banter, and sometimes even lose their cool. What players have to remember is that there is a line between mocking an individual's in-game abilities or skills, and making threatening, hostile statements about/towards them as a person. This rule also extends to renamed items in chat being item'd This can include but is not limited to: Excessive bypassing the default MC chat filter, casual cursing is fine Discrimination (Homophobia, Racism, Ageism, Sexism...etc). This includes the use of slurs such as "Ni**er", "N*zi" and "G*y" to insult others. Promoting and/or encouraging suicide/self harm Staff disrespect Harassment Blasphemy Bullying Promoting and/or requesting sexually inappropriate material Punishments 1st Offence: Warning 2nd Offence: 24h Mute 3rd Offence: 3d Ban 4th+ Offence: 7d Ban Warnings issued for excessive toxicity will expire after 24 hours.
Advertising	Advertising in the global chat is strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated. This can include but is not limited to: Server IPs/links/names/references (excluding featured servers) Discord invites Links/names/references which display content that is not related to CosmicPE. Punishments 1st Offence: Warning 2nd Offence: 8h Mute 3rd Offence: 24h Mute 4th Offence: 3d Ban 5th+ Offence: 7d Ban Warnings issued for advertising will expire after 24 hours.
Banned Skins	The use of Inappropriate Skins at any time is not permitted. For example, skins that depict racist figures such as Hitler. Wearing banned skins during PvP to provide yourself with an unfair advantage against other players is also strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated. Skins must be of normal size. Forbidden Skins can include but are not limited to: Height altered skins Invisible skins 4D skins Nude skins Skins of racist figure Punishments 1st Offence: Warning and chance to remove banned material. 2nd Offence: 3d Ban Warnings issued for advertising will expire after 72 hours.

Gameplay Rules

Trapping

Players are entitled to an area of 2 blocks in height and 1 block in width (2×1 AREA) without being obstructed. Trappers are permitted to have blocks placed overhead to isolate players into a confined 2×1 area. Players must be given a fighting chance to defend themselves at all times. If a player chooses to enter a dangerous area they do so at their own risk and may face death. Banned traps can include but are not limited to: Instant kills (E.g. Hitting players from high places, resulting in death upon impact) Traps which inhibit the use of /spawn or /home once out of combat, leaving the player trapped indefinitely (E.g. AFK water flow traps...etc) Traps which inhibit players from defending themselves via hitting, eating, potting...etc (E.g. Placing levers, crafting tables or anything of a similar nature to obstruct view and inhibit the players ability to fight) Asking for "Wild PvP" or anything of the sort in which players unclaim land with the intention to claim on the arrival of another player. Punishments 1st Offence: Warning 2nd+ Offence: 7d Ban Warnings issued for trapping will expire after 72 hours.
