A warzone from Demon planet with spaceship (safezone) spawnpoint at the center.

Factions gameplay centers around four main elements: base building, grinding, raiding, and combat.

  • Base building starts with claiming the first piece of land (the core claim) and constructing defenses around it.
  • Grinding means farming resources (in-game money and XP) using automated monster farms.
  • Raiding involves attacking rival enemy factionss with TNT cannons to break into their core claim.
  • Combat includes both PvP and PvE,, and it ties directly into the other three aspects.

A typical faction begins by building a base, then moves into grinding. Raiding is more advanced and combat naturally happens along the way.

When you first join, you'll spawn inside a spaceship. Here you will find the Tinkerer, the Enchanter, and other NPCs. Jump down to enter the warzone and use /spawn to return to the spaceship at any time.

Tweak your settings

Server customization options let you see live coordinates, dropped item names, your live balance, and faction land claim borders.

Goal of these enhancements is to present this information right at the front. Default settings do not give you enough information upfront, and you need not run a command to track essential character status.

Setup server settings to display coordinates

Server settings can be configured either from pause menu→Settings→Cosmic Settings, or by running /settings command. Set "Display coordinates" to Always to view coordinates at your top-left. Additionally, to view claim borders, tweak "Highlight sub-chunks", and "Display dropped item name" to display a name tag over dropped items.

Setup scoreboard to display live account balance

Setup a scoreboard to your side and see your in-game balance without needing to run /bal by following the steps below:

  1. Run /scoreboard command, then click NEW.
  2. Give a name to your scoreboard, e.g., my scoreboard.
  3. For scoreboard template, select Default. Submit the form.
  4. Click the Back button, then click Select and close the form.

Scoreboards can further be edited to display live XP, armor durability, server TPS, ping, and more.

Receive free items

Redeeming the starter kit.

Every player starts with $1,000 bank balance. Trainee is the default rank on the server. As a trainee, you get a daily /kit starter that gives you food, building blocks, and a special chest. Right-click the chest to redeem it (or long-hold if you are on mobile). You may get a spawner or two from this special chest if you are extra lucky. There are more free resources up for grabs. Two more on the checklist are below:

  • Vote for the server. Voting is free and can be done daily. Be sure to write your gamertag when you cast a vote on our server page. When done, run /vote claim in-game to receive free items.
  • Get the free $100,000 Startup Fund perk from our vote store (you don't need to cast a vote).

Acquire a rank

Player ranks are easy to come by―you need not purchase one from the store. Hunting envoys and capturing the LMS is the quickest way to get hold of a rank quest. A rank quest rewards you with a permanent rank upgrade (which means a new daily /kit and more perks). Look out for an envoy broadcast in chat.
