Factions gameplay centers around four main elements: base building, grinding, raiding, and combat.
- Base building starts with claiming the first piece of land (the core claim) and constructing defenses around it.
- Grinding means farming resources (in-game money and XP) using automated monster farms.
- Raiding involves attacking rival enemy factions with TNT cannons to break into their core claim.
- Combat includes both PvP and PvE,, and it ties directly into the other three aspects.
A typical faction begins by building a base, then moves into grinding. Raiding is more advanced and combat naturally happens along the way.
When you first join, you'll spawn inside a spaceship. Here you will find the Tinkerer, the Enchanter, and other NPCs. Jump down to enter the warzone and use /spawn to return to the spaceship at any time.
Server customization

You can customize your HUD to show live coordinates, dropped item names, your balance, and faction claim borders. By default, you don't see this info without typing commands. Tweaking settings makes it easier to track your status.
How to enable coordinates
- Go to Pause Menu → Settings → Cosmic Settings or run
/settings. - Set Display Coordinates to Always
- To see claim borders, enable Highlight Sub-Chunks
- To display dropped item names, enable Display dropped item name
How to show balance on a scoreboard
- Run
/scoreboardcommand, then click NEW. - Name your scoreboard (e.g., my scoreboard).
- For the template, pick Default, then submit.
- Click Back, select your new scoreboard, and close.
Your scoreboard can also be customized to track XP, armor durability, server TPS, ping, and more.
Redeeming the starter kit
Every player starts with $1,000 and the default Trainee rank. As a trainee, you can claim the daily /kit starter which includes food, building blocks, and a special chest. Right-click (or long-hold on mobile) to open the special chest. If you are lucky, you might even get a spawner.
Additional freebies:
- Vote daily for the server. Enter your gamertag when voting on our vote page, then run
/vote claimin-game to receive rewards. - Claim $100,000 Startup Fund from the vote store―no voting required.
Acquire a rank
Player ranks are easy to come by―you need not purchase one from the store. Hunting envoys and capturing the LMS is the quickest way to get hold of a rank quest. A rank quest rewards you with a permanent rank upgrade (which means a new daily /kit and more perks). Look out for an envoy broadcast in chat.
Build a faction
A faction is a team of players. Start by making your own faction by running /f create <name>. Invite players using /f invite <player> and they can join with /f join <name>.
Next, run /wild to teleport to a random place in the wilderness. Claim your first chunk of land with /f claim. This becomes your core claim - protect it at all cost. Surround your core with more claims and then build an obsidian encasing around it. Take advantage of bedrock (which cannot explode) and Y255 (world height limit above which TNTs do not explode). Take advantage of world border at X/Z=-15008 or X/Z=15007 (the border acts like a free indestructible wall).
